James T. Turnbull Jr., D.C., CCST, FIAMA
As with most people who choose to be chiropractors, Dr Turnbull shares two things: a personal experience with chiropractic in his youth and a passion for helping others.
Growing up in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Turnbull was a competitive tennis player and used chiropractic care to overcome several injuries and to achieve and maintain peak performance.
Since his high school days his sights were set on becoming a chiropractor. Dr. Turnbull began his college studies at Lawrence University, a small liberal arts college in Wisconsin giving him a diverse background in English, history, philosophy, science and the arts. Following his time at Lawrence, Dr. Turnbull attended Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis where he actively studied rehabilitation and neurology around the country with respected leaders in both medicine and chiropractic. Following his graduation, Dr. Turnbull taught rehabilitation to senior students at Logan College of Chiropractic and helped in laying the groundwork for an interdisciplinary pelvic pain rehabilitation center for postpartum women at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Dr. Turnbull has been practicing in Denver since 1999. In 2001 Dr. Turnbull earned his Chiropractic Certification in Spinal Trauma following an intensive yearlong course of post-graduate study and in 2003-2004 completed a Fellowship with the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Outside of the office, Dr. Turnbull enjoys playing guitar, photography, hiking, camping and travel with his wife, Stacy and his dogs, Stella and Dory.
